What is ZimraStudio AI?
ZimraStudio's AI features are a Command Center chat, an agent builder with 13 starting templates, approval steps for actions an agent proposes, and knowledge sources that answers can cite. They run on the AI provider your company connects with its own key. No model or free AI is bundled.

Your provider, your key
Bring your own AI key
ZimraStudio does not include an AI model and does not offer free AI. An admin connects the company's own provider and key, and the AI features use it. It works with OpenAI-compatible services and with local models such as Ollama. AI stays off for a company until an admin turns it on.
- Provider-independent. Use an OpenAI-compatible endpoint or a self-hosted model such as Ollama. You pay your provider directly.
- Off until you switch it on. Nothing is sent to a provider until an admin enables AI, and the settings page says what is sent.
- Limits per plan. Your plan can cap AI requests, tokens, agents, workflow runs, knowledge storage and voice minutes.

An agent builder with 13 templates and approvals
Start from a template (business assistant, lead qualification, customer support, meeting preparation, project coordination, workflow monitoring and more) or from a blank agent. Choose what it knows, which tools it may use and when it must ask first. Test it before anyone relies on it.
- Approvals for AI actions. When an agent proposes a change, a person approves or rejects it first.
- Test before you publish. Try an agent on a sample question and see how it got to its answer.
- Command Center. One chat for questions and requests, answered from your own records.

Knowledge sources with citations
Upload documents or add sources, and answers that use them show where they came from, so a person can open the original. When the sources do not contain an answer, the assistant says so instead of guessing.
- Citations. Each answer built from your documents points back to them.
- Honest gaps. When the sources do not contain the answer, the assistant says so.

Questions about ZimraStudio AI
Does ZimraStudio include an AI model?
No. You connect your own AI provider and key, and you pay that provider directly. ZimraStudio does not bundle a model and does not offer free AI.
Which AI providers can I use?
Any OpenAI-compatible service, and local or self-hosted models such as Ollama. The AI settings show what your admin has connected.
Is AI on by default?
No. AI is off for every company until an admin turns it on.
Can an agent change my data on its own?
Only through the tools you allow it, and an action that changes something can be set to wait for a person to approve it first.
How does the assistant know my business?
It answers from your records and from the knowledge sources you add. Answers built from documents show citations so you can check them.
How many agent templates are there?
There are 13 templates to start from, and you can also start with a blank agent.
Can an agent answer my phone?
Not yet. Live phone answering is coming soon. The receptionist agent works as a text agent today.
Can I limit how much AI my company uses?
Yes. Plans can cap AI requests, tokens, agents, workflow runs, knowledge storage and voice minutes, and the app shows usage.
